July 1st, 2008

I found an old Viscount caravan that’s cheap. Everything inside must be replaced. How much do I expect to pay for materials if I do it myself? Is there anything structurely that I should check out before buying it? I think it’s a mid 70’s model.

Questions about caravans and caravan parks in Australia- filling up water and discarding waste

April 25th, 2007

I want to go on a road trip in a caravan around Australia and want some answers on these questions: My plan is to rent a 6-berth caravan (there’s 6 of us): - Where can i fill up water and/or discard waste apart from caravan parks? - Is there such thing as filling up my water tank (around 140litres) for free at petrol stations or any other places? If yes, where? - Caravan site rates is only applicable for 2 people - i do have to tell the management that there’s 6 of us, right? - Can I camp anywhere on land - eg. carparks or open grounds in between destinations? - Is comprehensive insurance necessary? - How many kms approximately to drive around the coastline of Australia? I read around 16000 kms - can anyone confirm? Thanks so much!!!
